As a live service experience, Moonfrost will offer numerous live ops events, each featuring new ways to play, ways to earn and time-limited rewards to win!
Moonfrost currently features two live ops events: and , both won't be active on Early Access launch but are already built and ready to be activated.
Players who earn enough points to achieve qualifying positions by the end of the session earn in-game rewards, which are awarded when the session ends.
The duration of a Farm Royale session is typically 10 minutes which is displayed by a timer at the top of the HUD whilst in a Farm Royale match.
Players can enter a Farm Royale match, while live, via a unique button displayed on the HUD or from the Golden Chicken statue located in the Village.
Each House Hunters event features a title, description, cover image, event timer, leaderboard and a dynamic button whose state changes depending on whether an event has been joined or has concluded.
The leaderboard of each House Hunters event communicates the qualifying position brackets and associated rewards for said brackets i.e. what players who rank in position 1 or 2-10 or 11-50 etc by the event of the House Hunters event will receive for doing so.
Players are ranked based on the amount of points their submissions have earned from other players Voting on it.
House Hunters events are ordered from left to right according to the following priorities from highest to lowest priority:
Event has entered Results phase and rewards are available
Event has entered Results phase and rewards are not available
Event is in Voting phase and has been joined
Event is in Creation phase and has been joined
Event is in Creation phase and has not been joined
Event is in Voting phase and has not been joined
Event which ended whose Results Screen has been viewed by the player
House Hunters events have three phases: Creation, Voting and Results.
There are two types of House Hunter event Regular and Sandbox.
Players can only join one Regular House Hunter event at any given time but may choose to change which Regular event they are participating in at any time from the House Hunters main menu.
It should be noted that leaving a Regular event will cause any submissions to that event to be lost. Upon joining a Regular event, a timer will appear on the player’s HUD as a reminder of how much time is left for submission.
Sandbox House Hunters events differ from Regular events in several ways and are signified by a canvas icon displayed on the event’s cover image.
However, when the event concludes, the creation will no longer be accessible. Players can leave a Sandbox event’s map at any time via the Settings menu and may also return to it at any time, whilst the event is live, via the House Hunters main menu.
To submit a creation, whether for a Regular or Sandbox event, players must enter Camera Mode, which can be accessed by clicking on the CAMERA button whilst Build Mode is active allowing them to take an in-game Screenshot.
The first submission for any event, regardless of type, is always free.
However, if players wish to re-submit, a Currency cost is typically required.
Re-submitting a creation removes the previous creation from the House Hunters event and resets the player’s leaderboard position for the given event.
Once the Creation phase of a House Hunters event has concluded, the Voting phase begins, the duration of which is also communicated by a timer displayed on the event itself in the main menu.
Players can Vote on a House Hunters event by joining it causing the dynamic button at the bottom of the House Hunters event to change to a VOTE Button.
Clicking on the VOTE Button transitions players to the Voting Screen, where players are presented with submissions to the given event from other players. Submissions can be loved, liked or dismissed which award 2, 1 or 0 points respectively to a submission via dedicated buttons.
Players can also report inappropriate submissions via a dedicated button on the Voting Screen which cause said submissions to be flagged for Oxalis to review. Submissions that are confirmed as inappropriate by Oxalis are removed from the House Hunters event.
By loving or liking submissions, players can accrue progress toward a Voting Reward for the given event which is typically some type and quantity of in-game item such as Resources, Currency or Blueprints.
Voting Rewards, once unlocked, can be claimed from the Voting Screen.
Voting Rewards are lost if they are not claimed before the Voting phase of a House Hunters event concludes.
When the Voting phase of a House Hunters event ends it enters the Results phase, which is signified by a unique banner displayed on the event as well as an update to the dynamic button which displays VIEW RESULTS.
Clicking on the VIEW RESULTS Button transitions players to the Results Screen which displays the top three submissions for the given event and several runner up submissions. Each submission on this screen can be clicked on to enlarge it for better viewing.
The button at the bottom of this screen can be in one of two states depending on whether or not the player achieved a qualifying position for the given House Hunters event. If a qualifying position was achieved, the button will display CLAIM REWARDS, which triggers the reward flow when clicked. If not, the button simply displays DONE.
