Resource Gathering

Moonfrost, at its heart, is a game all about gathering many, many Resources of varying Rarity and importance!

Over time players will become increasingly capable when it comes to acquiring the Resources needed to advance.

Clearing Debris

Debris refers to Flora in Moonfrost’s game world that can be with, such as logs and small rocks, to break them and acquire Resources from.

Debris, unlike other Flora, has a “sheen” effect to help them stand out!

Refined Resources

Refined Resources are items that can only be acquired through Crafting at the necessary Craft Site using regular Resources.

Item Types

There are numerous types of item in Moonfrost, which is signified by an Item Type Label in the Item Description Field of the Inventory.

Item Rarity

Items in Moonfrost can belong to one of 9 Rarity Tiers.

Rarity represents the relative scarcity and power level of an item, usually correlating with its effectiveness, special attributes, or uniqueness.

Item Quality

Resources that can be consumed, such as Produce, Fish or Supplies can come in a variety of Qualities, reflected by a Quality Star (Bronze, Silver, Gold) in the UI. Currently there are; 5 qualities for Crops, 5 qualities for Food and 1 quality for Fish.

The chances of getting higher Quality consumable Resources, which are increasingly rare and valuable or may be required to complete specific objectives, can be affected by a variety of factors, namely the tier of tool used to acquire them.
